Very, very, very excited to announce that tonight we broadcast our first episode of 28 Switch on the Bet The Beach YouTube Channel. If you tuned in live tonight, about 90 minutes ago, you got to see our first attempt at time machine NFL RedZone for the AVP. Honestly, I loved it. We had a couple of hiccups, but nothing major. Overall, I think it was an excellent trial run for a product that I believe could change the game for Beach Volleyball broadcasts.
Some technical issues but nothing hard to fix. An echo on the broadcast feed audio. Need to adjust how the audio routes through the mixer. Figure out why the keyboard shortcuts gave up on me with about ten minutes to go. But overall, a resoundingly successful proof of concept, with the whole thing broadcast live.
If these are the only screw-ups in my first run-through, I’m a happy guy. This was fun. This was exciting. The matches told the story I wanted to tell, a generational handoff between US Beach Volleyball legends.
Give me a few more run-throughs, I’ll clean up a few things, and we’ll really be able to do some story telling. Maybe, over the course of the next few months, we can tell a story that leads us to today.
For tomorrow, who knows? Do the same thing with live feeds of Stadium Court, Court 1, and Court 2 on an AVP Saturday, and I think we’d have something here. I would love if you would check it out. Let me know what you think. Talk to ya next Tuesday.
